Air BP Lubricants
Air BP The British Petroleum Company is the parent company of one of the world's largest oil resource groups. Air BP is the specialist organisation within the BP Group which markets on a world-wide basis, a comprehensive range of high quality Aviation Fuels, Aviation Engine Oils and Hydraulic Fluid.
BP Turbo Oil 2197 is a synthetic turbo oil of approximately 5 centistokes at
212°F (100°C) and is approved against MIL-PRF-23699F HTS. It is formulated
with a special synthetic basestock and additive to achieve the superior high
temperature cleanliness required for aircraft engines of the future.
Applications
BP Turbo Oil (BPTO) 2197 is our newest turbo oil, designed to be a
'fleet-wide' oil especially for hot aircraft and aero-derived engines. BPTO
2197 offers exceptional high temperature cleanliness in vapour mist and
liquid film areas, as well as outstanding oxidative, thermal and hydrolytic
stability. BPTO 2197 has been approved by a wide range of engine and
accessory manufacturers for their applicable equipment, including: Rolls
Royce LTD, Rolls Royce/Allison, GE, Pratt & Whitney, Pratt & Whitney Canada,
Honeywell, Hamilton Sundstrand, CFMI, IAE, MTU, Solar and Turbomeca.
BP Turbo Oil 2380 is a 5 cSt synthetic lubricant that is approved against US
military specification MIL-PRF-23699F-STD, and UK specification DEF STAN
91-101/2 (replaced DERD 2499). This lubricant provides a balanced
combination of thermal and oxidation stability, load carrying capacity,
lower volatility and has the best low temperature flow characteristics of
all 5 cSt turbine oils.
Applications
BP Turbo Oil 2380 is recommended for the lubrication of most aircraft gas
turbines and accessories. It is also recommended for the lubrication of
aero-derived gas turbines in industrial power generation, offshore and
marine applications. BPTO 2380 has been approved by a wide range of engine
and accessory manufacturers for their applicable equipment, including: Rolls
Royce Ltd, Allison, GE, Pratt & Whitney, Pratt & Whitney Canada, Honeywell,
Hamilton Sundstrand, CFMI, IAE, MTU, Solar and Turbomeca.
BP Turbo Oil 2389 is a synthetic lubricant having a viscosity of
approximately 3 cSt at 212?F. This oil is approved against US military
specification MIL-PRF-7808L grade 3 and incorporates a level of technology
from Type II (5 cSt) commercial turbine lubricants.
Applications
This lubricant combines the thermal and oxidation stability of our
commercial 5 cSt synthetic oil (BPTO 2380) with the ability to flow at
extremely low environmental temperature. In addition, it has gear-carrying
ability equal to or better than other approved MIL-PRF-7808L Grade 3 oils.
BPTO2389 thus affords the military operator the lower viscosity advantage of
MIL-PRF-7808L Grade 3 oils while providing the higher quality advantages of
the Type II commercial oils, especially with respect to better thermal and
oxidation stability. BPTO 2389 has been approved by a wide range of engine
and accessory manufacturers for their applicable equipment, including: Rolls
Royce Ltd, Rolls Royce/Allison, GE, Pratt & Whitney, Pratt & Whitney Canada,
Honeywell, Hamilton Sundstrand, CFMI, MTU, Solar and Turbomeca.
BP Turbo Oil 274 is a synthetic turbo oil having a viscosity of
approximately 7.5 cSt at 212?F (100?C). It is formulated with special
synthetic base stocks and additives to inhibit wear, oxidation, and foaming.
It provides good high temperature performance and load-carrying ability.
BPTO274 is approved against DEF STAN 91-98/1 (DERD 2487).
Applications
BPTO 274 is now being used by over 50 airlines throughout the world,
representing near two-thirds of the world's commercial requirement for 7.5
cSt turbo oils, including Rolls Royce Dart engines. BPTO 274 has been
approved by a wide range of engine and accessory manufacturers for their
applicable equipment, including: Rolls Royce LTD, Dowty Rotol, Hawker
Siddeley Dynamics, Solar and Pratt & Whitney Canada.
