The AeroFix™ 406 GPS I/O P-ELT features an internal GPS, ACR’s exclusive FastACQ GPS technology and an external GPS optical interface, the AeroFix™ 406 GPS I/O P-ELT gives the user unparalled versatility. This P-ELT can include GPS coordinates in the emergency satellite transmission via a handheld GPS, using the optical interface OR using the onboard, internal GPS built right into the P-ELT. The internal GPS aquires LAT/LON when the unit is activated (if externally obtained GPS coordinates are not present). ACR’s FastACQ technology relays accurate GPS information to the satellites faster than all other internal GPS P-ELTs. Your LAT/LON are transmitted providing rescue agencies your exact position to within 110 yards (100 m).

Transmits on 406 MHz via the COSPAS-SARSAT satellite system with your registered unique, digitally coded distress signal and 121.5 MHz (SAR homing frequency)
Onboard GPS acquires LAT/LON when the unit is activated, your LAT/LON are transmitted as soon as acquired providing rescue agencies with your exact position to within 100 meters (110 yards)
GPS interface (NMEA 0183) allows you to download your GPS coordinates from a GPS receiver into your P-ELT; when activated, your LAT/LON will accompany your 406 MHz signal
